Overview

We were asked to undertake comprehensive refurbishment works across two prominent guest and hospitality spaces as part of the hotel’s broader interior enhancement programme.

The project focused on restoring and modernising high-traffic areas while preserving the venue’s elegant aesthetic and maintaining its operational standards as a luxury hospitality destination.

Our Scope of Works

  • Restoration of internal finishes in a key event suite
  • Partial reconstruction and refit of a central bar area

1. The Event Suite Refurbishment

This space required extensive internal refurbishment to restore the condition of the walls, joinery, and decorative finishes.

Work Undertaken:

  • Surface Preparation and Joinery Repairs
    • Repaired and prepared window frames, replacing approximately 26 glass panels and associated beads.
    • Sanded, varnished, undercoated, and painted 18 internal doors.
  • Lighting and Ceiling Adjustments
    • Removed the existing ceiling grid and installed a new system with integrated lighting.
  • Wall and Decorative Finishes
    • Repaired wall surfaces following removal of outdated heating infrastructure.
    • Painted all walls and woodwork in a soft “Mushroom” tone for a cohesive finish.
    • Refreshed 64 window boards and frames to match the updated scheme.
  • Protective Installation
    • Installed a WBP façade within storage areas to safeguard wall surfaces.

Estimated Duration: 10–14 working days

The refurbishment restored the suite’s premium finish, ensuring it remains a versatile and visually impressive space for conferences, private functions, and events.

2. Bar Area Refurbishment

The bar required modernisation and repair due to signs of timber deterioration, with a brief to retain its original layout while introducing a refreshed, durable aesthetic.

Work Undertaken:

  • Strip-Out and Preparation
    • Removed deteriorated components, including the bar top and shelving.
    • Retained core architectural features to align with budget requirements.
  • Bar and Back Bar Rebuild
    • Installed new shelving with stainless-steel worktops.
    • Fitted a new stone bar top for a luxury finish.
    • Rebuilt and painted the bar structures in Royal Grey.
  • Mechanical and Electrical Works
    • Modified plumbing for new fixtures.
    • Upgraded electrical connections and lighting systems.
  • Finishes and Flooring
    • Applied Altro Safety Flooring with self-levelling preparation.

Completed full decoration aligned with the hotel’s interior scheme.
